Studio Policy
 

  • Please let me know 24 hours if lessons must be cancelled. Emergencies and sicknesses do not apply.

  • Lessons will be forfeited if 24 hour notice is not given (non-emergency)

  • Extra fees may include sheet music, method books, extra lessons, metronome, and erasable color pencils.

  • Up to 4 weeks may be suspended without tuition over the summer.

  • Makeup lessons can include another day, or by simply adding extra time to regular lessons.

  • Tuition must be paid by the first of each month. (Note that some months will be different depending on months with 4 weeks or 5 weeks.) After the 8th day of the month, a late fee of $15 will be implemented.

  • Payments are accepted through Venmo, cash, check and Zelle

  • Lessons that fall on major holidays will be rescheduled: (Halloween, Christmas, Thanksgiving, New Years/Eve, religious holidays)

  • Children under 18 must have parental supervision (using parents’ phone) if students wish to contact me directly outside lesson time with questions.

  • Grounds for Dismissal may include: Lack of attention to practice, weak teamwork, behavior problems, frequent absences, delinquency in payment

  • In extreme cases, a Probation Month Form will be signed

  • Lesson Expectation:

    • Parents are expected to be actively involved in their child’s musical journey by attending lessons when appropriate, supporting consistent home practice, and fostering a positive, encouraging environment for learning.

    • Students are expected to practice 5 days out of the week following the Practice Guide (created by Cana Kashima)
